After amazing show at INmusic Festival Eagles of Death Metal are coming back on December 1st. Prepare yourself for another great concert in Zagreb, this time indoors, at Tvornica Kultre (Culture Factory)!
Currently on tour in Europe, the dynamic duo has revealed EODM’s extensive tour plans for North America and Europe as well as release plans for their fourth album, ZIPPER DOWN.
Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1998 by best friends Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme. Despite their band name, Eagles of Death Metal is not a death metal band. The story goes that a friend was introducing Josh Homme to the death metal genre. When he played a song by the Polish band Vader and made a claim that the song was within the death metal genre, Homme then referred to Vader as "The Eagles of Death Metal". After hearing this phrase, he wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. With that, the band was born.
Their new album, ZIPPER DOWN, will be released worldwide on October 2. The 11-track album is available for preorder on CD, digital, vinyl LP and cassette. The hot lead single for the album is ‘Complexity’. For the ZIPPER DOWN sessions at Pink Duck Studios in Burbank, California, Hughes and Homme co-wrote all of the album’s songs (with the exception of their cover of Duran Duran’s “Save A Prayer”), and performed all of the instruments and vocals themselves. The album is produced by Homme.
