Irish post-punk band The Murder Capital joins INmusic Festival #17!

The Murder Capital, an Irish post-punk powerhouse joins the already impressive lineup of the 17th edition of INmusic Festival!
The Murder Capital, formed in 2018 in Dublin, is one of the most praised new bands, known for their powerful post-punk sound explosion, deep introspective lyrics, and energetic live performances. This five-piece consists of James McGovern (vocals), Damien Tuit (guitar), Cathal Roper (guitar), Gabriel Paschal Blake (bass), and Diarmuid Brennan (drums). They constantly push the boundaries of the post-punk sound, delivering emotional depth in every song. Music critic Damien Morris described them for The Guardian as ‘reaching back to Joy Division’s drum tattoos, interlocking with surging, wave-break bass. Pixies' quiet-loud-quiet trick is in there, as are Shame and Savages, while PJ Harvey and the Bad Seeds infest tracks such as ‘Green & Blue’. The band has released three albums so far, with their second one, ‘Gigi's Recovery’, recorded in Los Angeles under the production of Grammy winner John Congleton. In February 2025, they released ‘Blindness’, which, according to frontman McGovern, is their strongest and most coherent release to date, with songs exploring both personal and political themes.
The Murder Capital joins the already announced music giants who will perform at the 17th edition of INmusic festival from June 23rd to 25th, 2025, including Kings of Leon, Massive Attack, Air, Fontaines D.C., Michael Kiwanuka, The Streets, St. Vincent, Foster the People, Press Club, Kim Deal, Yard Act and many more! Three-day festival tickets for INmusic festival #17 are available for just 109 EUR (+ transaction fees) through the official festival webshop, as well as seven-day camping tickets priced at 59 EUR (+ transaction fees).
