New York tropical house duo Sofi Tukker confirmed for INmusic festival #14!

The stellar INmusic #14 line-up is stronger for one dose of irresistible tropical house dance rhythms courtesy of New York’s favourite dance duo – Sofi Tukker!

Sofi Tukker are Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, who met while studying at Brown University, and shortly after began composing music together. Their first song "Drinkee" was released in April 2016, and before they even released their first studio album, they received their first Grammy nomination for "Drinkee" in 2017 in the "Best Dance Song" category. Diverse music influences and an effortless skill in mixing elements of bossa nova, tropical percussions, guitar riffs and lyrics in Portugeese, resulted in a distinctive jungle pop sound, synonymous with Sofi Tukker. The single "Drinkee", which was featured on their first EP Soft Animals, has so far exceeded over 30 million views on streaming services. Sofi Tukker released their first studio album Treehouse last year, spearheaded by the single "Best Friend" which reaffirmed their status as one of the world's sensations on the pop/dance scene. Treehouse earned them their second Grammy nomination, this time in the category Best dance/electronic album of 2018. As they point out, their music is difficult to label, which is why they describe their songs simply as "the sound of their lives". Some of the songs are sung in Portuguese, for which Sophie has a particular passion for. Sofi Tukker won audience and critical praise worldwide, and their tropical groove will be spilling over the INmusic festival stage in 2019 as well!

Sofi Tukker are joining The Cure, Foals, Garbage, LP, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Skindred, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and Peter, Bjorn and John at INmusic festival #14, along with many more yet to be announced. INmusic festival #14 will take place at the Isle of Youth at Zagreb's lake Jarun from June 24th to the 26th, 2019.
