Hinds
Hinds started their career in Madrid in 2011 as a duo, Deers, until in 2014 singers and guitarists Carlotta Cosials and Ana García Perrote were joined by Ade Martín on bass and Amber Grimbergen on drums. Even prior to releasing their first studio album Hinds drew attention of music journalists from The Guardian, Pitchfork and NME with their Bandcamp release 'Demo' as well as praise from musicians such as Patrick Carney (Black Keys), Bobbie Gillespie (Primal Scream), The Pastels, followed by an European tour supporting the likes of The Libertines, The Vaccines and Black Lips. Their bright and brisk garage-rock sound draws reference to the Velvet Underground era and the C86 compilation sound with modern influences in The Strokes, Mac De Marco and Black Lips. Their first studio ‘Leave Me Alone’ was issued in 2016 following a world tour and festival performances at South by Southwest, Best Kept Secret, FI Benicassim, etc. The follow up ‘I Don’t Run’ released in 2018 affirmed the band's status as intelligent lyricists and the new name to pay attention to on the indie rock circuit. In the midst of the unravelling pandemic Hinds released their highly acclaimed third studio album ‘The Prettiest Curse’ presenting a much needed melodic garage-pop breeze in gloomy times. They are already set to perform at this year's Lollapalooza in Chicago and at Austin City Limits, while also supporting Future Islands on their upcoming American tour. Hinds are arriving at INmusic #15 in June 2022 at the peak of their game with a matured and confident sound as the perfect soundtrack to the start of another mellow summer.
