The fantastic Sprints join the already impressive INmusic festival #16 lineup!
The Dublin four-piece Sprints will bring their noisy post-punk energy to the INmusic festival stage in June 2024!
Irish band Sprints, formed in 2019, consists of the lead singer and guitarist Karla Chubb, guitarist Colm O'Reilly, drummer Jack Callan and bassist Sam McCann. Their raw, frank and witty lyrics, created by Karla portray her past experiences and aim to create unity and a sense of catharsis through the societal struggles we all collectively face. Music they create portrays their distinct identities while synthesising influences ranging from early Pixies and Bauhaus to IDLES and LCD Soundsystem. Sprints signed to the iconic German label, City Slang, and produced their debut album, ‘Letter to Self’ which was released in January 2024 to critical acclaim. As Karla said during one interview: ‘It was about being honest and energetic, and making people a little uncomfortable at the same time, whether that was musically or thematically. Like: sadness or anger, but make it danceable.’ Success of ‘Letter to Self’ potentiated their tours across Europe and USA and their inevitable stage presence is the reason for countless sold-out shows.
Sprints and their visceral garage-punk with a palpable sense of catharsis will take shape on INmusic festival #16 stage, along with already announced greats: The Smashing Pumpkins, Hozier, The National, Paolo Nutini, Gossip, Viagra Boys, Dogstar, The Gaslight Anthem, Sleaford Mods, Röyksopp, Ibibio Sound Machine, Descartes a Kant and Deadletter! Three-day festival tickets for INmusic festival #16 are available via the official festival webshop for just 99 EUR, as well as 7-day festival camping tickets for just 49 EUR, while already purchasing three-day tickets for INmusic festival #16.
