Air

Air

Air is a French electronic music duo formed by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel in the 1990s. Originally students of astrophysics and architecture, the pair left a lasting mark on pop culture with their 1998 debut album, ‘Moon Safari’. Featuring iconic tracks like ‘Sexy Boy’,’All I Need’, and ‘Kelly Watch the Stars’, the album became a cornerstone of downtempo music, catapulting them to the uppermost rung of electronic music’s ladder. Following the success of ‘Moon Safari’, Air continued to innovate with albums like ‘The Virgin Suicides’ (2000), the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack for Sofia Coppola's feature film debut and instant cult classic, and ‘10 000 Hz Legend’ (2001), which explored experimental and futuristic soundscapes. Each of their studio albums demonstrates Air’s ability to craft atmospheric, genre-defying music that continues to resonate with listeners.
