Rebel Star
The Rebel Star idea came up in 2006. Milan Glavaški, author of music and lyrics, has a rich musical experience from the bands Eva Braun and Popcycle. After returning from the US in 2005, he decided to create a studio where he would be able to ask himself and the audience questions that pop mainstream rarely deals with. Questions about life and death, the beginning and the end, growing up and aging, friendship and discord have been answered in melody and poetry for fifteen years. Rebel Star is a large group of collaborators, a "tribe where everyone matters" and a community of about twenty musicians from seven countries. In the new and most luxurious line-up so far, Rebel Star is a six-member band stationed in Zagreb composed of excellent Croatian and Serbian musicians: Zvonka Obajdin on keyboards, Daniel Rodik on guitar and lap steel, Eki Džananović on drums, Željko Markuš on guitar, Goran Ritoša on bass and Milan Glavaški, vocals and guitar. The band has a complex production and manages to maintain the integrity of top gigs as it goes through rock, americana and indie genres in one dynamic set.
