Royal Blood
Royal Blood are Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher who formed the band in Brighton in 2011. Royal Blood have successfully brought the minimalist band format common to garage-rock and alternative genres, made globally popular by bands like White Stripes and The Black Keys, to the 21st century with their modern sound and further fueled by their energetic live performances. The innovative transformation of the bass guitar and soaring drums in their music leaves the audience bewildered as to how such a rich and intense sound can be the result of just two core instruments. From the moment their namesake debut album dropped in 2014, Royal Blood have rightfully earned critical acclaim as well as audience favors, not to mention numerous awards and nominations – Brit Award for Best British Group, BBC Sound of 2014, and Mercury prize Album of the year nomination, to name a few. They toured with Arctic Moneys and Foo Fighters and performed at Glastonbury, Coachella, Rock in Rio, Reading & Leeds, etc. Their follow up 'How Did We Get So Dark?', released in 2017, immediately peaked at the UK Album charts and saw the band continue their streak of sold out shows and an American tour alongside Queens of The Stone Age. Restlessly building and developing their unique sound, Royal Blood released their third and latest studio album ‘Typhoons’ in April 2021 which delivers a more upbeat and disco inspired sound, critically acclaimed as their best album to date. Royal Blood’s long awaited post-pandemic return to the stages guarantees a thrilling live show on their Croatian live debut at INmusic festival #15 in June 2022!
